Forest Park
Forest Park is a 1,300-acre urban park located in the heart of St. Louis, owned and operated by the city's Department of Parks, Recreation, and Forestry. It is one of the largest urban parks in the United States and has been open to the public since 1876. The park is a vital gathering place for people of all ages, races, and economic backgrounds in the St. Louis community, attracting more than 12 million visitors annually.
Forest Park is home to many of the region's major cultural institutions, including the Saint Louis Art Museum, Saint Louis Zoo, Missouri History Museum, and Saint Louis Science Center.
